About
PW-Magazine is an online publication dedicated to the diversity of artistic practices in the field of Live Arts.
Committed and playful, honest and constructive, it addresses the politics of attention in choreography, visual arts, sound, and other interdisciplinary approaches to performative and ephemeral forms of expression.
Through in-depth conversations, discursive reflection, and curious exploration of written and image-based formats, PW investigates the wide spectrum of digital publishing—while also initiating its own events.
Founded in 2016 in Vienna, PW operates from there as well as from Berlin and Zurich. Together with a tight-knit network of collaborators, it covers and discovers the vibrant international scenes by amplifying voices active in the Live Arts, which are sometimes renowned, sometimes emerging, and sometimes forgotten.
Consistently connected to a strong visual identity, PW fosters new modes of writing and reading in close exchange with intergenerational artists, thinkers, contributors, and audiences.
By engaging with a broad range of art world contexts—independent initiatives, festivals, residencies, and institutions—PW generates insights that remain relevant over time and traces current aesthetics and those that endure.
