Netti Nüganen uses the performative moment to question what forms of spectatorship are needed and what's at stake. Establishing connections with the past, Nüganen (she/her/a doomer) forms an intentional look upon the present, with the wish to extend the perspective towards the future. Treating everything known with careful deconstruction, she reshapes storytelling - using this method to operate in the gaps between recognisable signs and language. After graduating from the School for New Dance Development (SNDO), Nüganen’s works have been shown at Tanzquartier Wien, My Wild Flag festival, Batard Festival, Impulstanz, Pre-Urbaines, Tartu Art Museum, KIM? gallery, Kanuti Gildi SAAL, Lisbon Film Festival, Lewisham Art Gallery, Sequences Festival and more.
