PW-Magazine features the premiere of Bean’s first EP “Dextro” on Vienna-based label Ashida Park. We think it’s absolutely worth listening to!

Established clubs and the structures within them have the power to limit the ability of performers to play music devoid of repetitive elements. The expectation to deliver »danceable« music is deeply embedded in the concept that is »club culture« to many people. With his first contribution to Ashida Park, Berlin-based artist Bean is using his individual and complex perspective to make a counter argument. Within the buildup of emotions and the deliberate attempt to wreck them again lies a desire to reflect on political, interpersonal and sociological events that are not straightforward at all. Bleach’s take on the track “Racer” is a challenging and forward-thinking remix that offers no time for sentimentality or contemplation and reinforces the need for deformity within our location of choice: the club.

Bean is living in Berlin where he studies music and experiments with a broad range of influences. He will release his first EP with Ashida Park on February 8th. The video emerged in a collaboration with Vienna-based Georg Fasswald who is a visual / 3D artist and was inspired by occult symbolism mixed as well as contemporary club music.
