The deconstruction of social angst: IVVVO, the dandyish master of screeching rave nostalgia, shares his glimmering contribution to the new release of VALLEY.
To celebrate two years of existence, Valley Radio releases a compilation with tracks of the numerous family members.
The first single comes from none other than Ivo Pacheco aka IVVVO. The London-based artist works in a variety of media, including painting, video, installation and sound. He investigates a variety of sources and influences, including millennial anxiety and the agonies of global political crises, carefully analysing their components in order to reuse them in a completely different context. In doing so, he explores the present with snatches of shiny and affective elements from contemporary dance/rock/pop and electronica – from trance synths to blockbuster sound design. His last longer release doG was published on Halcyon Veil.
VALLEY001 – the debut compilation album by the Amsterdam based platform and label Valley – will be released on March 7 and and includes tracks from Himera, QUALIATIK, Battle-ax, oldyungmayn, Ange Halliwell + Oklou, Swan Meat and many others.
