Ånsgar »Donkey Liturgy« Is Out Now!
An opaque and viscous conglomerate of the vast and virtual worlds of our time – Ånsgar releases his debut album on Ashida Park.
With »Donkey Liturgy« Berlin-based producer and singer-songwriter Oskar Mayböck lets his digital avatar Ånsgar tell the story of two lovers struggling to find each other in a forgotten post-pest Renaissance future. By counterpointing baroque woodwinds and saccharine trance leads with hyper-gendered and midi-warped stock voices, Ånsgar presents us with eight songs resembling eight stages of love within the liturgy of the donkey.
