Survival, resistance, a prophecy: Malu Blume’s first experimental short film will be premiered today on the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) website.
Within the framework of New Alphabet School #4 Caring by Haus der Kulturen der Welt, the live stream will start on June 13 at 8 pm, followed by an artist talk moderated by Sascia Bailer.
»The Book of S of I. Chapter One: Creatures born from Hopelessness« is the first part of a fantastic Sci-Fi saga in three chapters about seeking and finding community. Feverish nightmares turn into utopian dreams. Bodies aligned in pleasure conjure the spirits of the past and ask: What could have become of us? A fragmented story about a group of witches, warriors, sluts, and healers, about the desire to belong, about the power of mutual care, and the longing for tenderness.
