Oblique playfulness to challenge the ruling powers: Chinabot’s Pisitakun tackles Thailand’s censorship and prosecution.
A whirl of hard techno, molam, military marching beats, Thai Pop and traditional Thai instrumentation. Pisitakun’s new album Absolute C.O.U.P. is a maximalist tour through the Thai political and psychic landscape without sacrificing its wicked sense of fun in its pursuit of political justice. Elvin Brandhi has added a glitched out atmosphere to the first track of the EP in her remix.
Visual artist and musican Pisitakun will release his »Absolute C.O.U.P.« via Chinabot on July 29.
