Intended for the dance floor or the subconscious: Obsequies’ new record seeks the dichotomy of beauty and chaos.
The EP Carcass by the Belgian musician, who played a pulsating set at last year’s Balance Festival, is a proprioceptive pirouette of sound design, morphing dynamics, echo space, confusing vocals and visceral breakdowns. The sneak-peek track »Inferno« mixes sharp electronic sounds with organic textures to find beauty in tranquil disruption.
»Carcass« will be released on March 18 on the new avant-garde label Meine Nacht by NTS resident Breakwave and comes with six original compositions and remixes by Slagwerk founder ssalvia and bod [包家巷].
