It Takes 21 Days to Form a New Habit

Practicing mindfulness is always a useful tool to master life, especially in the current situation. With the web residency isthisit?, Gertrūda Gilytės experimented with the self-constructed internet spirituality. For 21 days she streamed and uploaded her daily practice in positive thinking and gratitude on Instagram as a spiritual influencer.

From Pest to Power

Have you always been curious about the peculiar behavior of cockroaches and what humans can learn from them? Natasha Tontey’s From Pest to Power is the winner of HASH Award 2020 by Akademie Schloss Solitude and the ZKM and is also part of the interdisciplinary online exhibition STRUKTURA. In her residency, the artist/designer speculates on a less anthropocentric, but a more ecological future through cockroaches.

Cyber Sanctuaries

Enter the virtual spa created by Specter – founded Agnes Momirski and Georgia Kareola – for a comprehensive relaxation and recharge in the digital world. Ground yourself, revitalize yourself, be weightless. As a contribution to The Wrong Biennale, Momirski and Kareola curated cyber sanctuaries where you can click through a soothing and nourishing experience.

BLACKTRANSARCHIVE

»WE ARE HERE BECAUSE OF THOSE THAT ARE NOT« is a video game made by the artist Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley, which focuses on the experience of Black transgender people. Please be respectful when entering.

Office Space

If you need a break from your home office, take a stroll through the online exhibition at »isthisit?« and its grey cube curated by Bob Bicknell-Knight. Works of art by Lydia Blakely, Naomi Fitzsimmons, Johnny Izatt-Lowry, Perce Jerrom, and Lilli Mathod reflect on work environments and the inherent violence embedded within the aesthetics, language, and visual identity of corporate culture and office buildings.

New Black Portraitures

In collaboration with Rhizome and the New Museum, New York, Aria Dean curated New Black Portraitures, investigating the relation between »Blackness« and »portraiture« through the works of Hamishi Farah, Juliana Huxtable, Rindon Johnson, Pastiche Lumumba, among others.

HWMD

Hardcore Will Never Die is a 360 degree online show at the Internet Moon Gallery, which faces visitors with a derelict terrain and humming baseline. Curated by Sarrià and Ali A. Maderuelo, the exhibition negotiates the correlation between hardcore electronic music, death and the imaginary of extreme right-wing movements.
