Can you tell us about the ideas and inspirations behind this mix?
When I started djing, I was very into hard stuff like gabber, hard acid and techno. The harder the basslines and the higher the BPM the better. Then I felt like I came to a limit and I was searching for another challenge. I really fell in love with music where you can close your eyes and finding your inner self. This mix is in fact a reflection of my mood.
As far as you remember, what was your first song or band that you fell in love with when you were a kid or a teenager?
I can’t remember what my first special song or band was. I suppose that I listened to random music like other kids in my age did.
Do you remember your first encounter with electronic music and can you elaborate on that?
When I was at the age of 17, my friends and me started organizing parties called Deep Dreams. At this time we started doing music by our own. My part here were the live vocals. It was a very nice experience but after Deep Dreams and the project Tanzgelueste, I wanted to go further, so I started djing by myself.
Tell us about one of your best, worst, funniest or strangest DJ experiences.
Once I was playing at Tante Emma in Innsbruck. When I started playing my set, a girl came to the first row and she was dancing like she was out of control. Then she started shouting »Heeeeeey guuuuurl, I love what you are playing, step on the gas!« while she was throwing cigarettes at me as a reward. She kept doing this until the end of my set. I FUCKING LOVED HER!
Our last featured artist Sybil would like to know if you had to listen to one song on repeat for the next month, which one would it be?
There where a lot of influences, not only on the dancefloor.
