Can you tell us about the ideas and inspirations behind this mix?

I just moved to the Netherlands from the lovely city of Vilnius a month ago. I felt ridiculously nostalgic, so I collected some songs that have already created memories and some that I have been listening to recently. I am interested in weird grooves and dynamics of moods.

As far as you remember, what was your first song or band that you fell in love with when you were a kid or a teenager?

I was a fan of Jennifer Lopez when I was growing up. I thought she was beautiful, diverse and creative back in the days.

Do you remember your first encounter with electronic music and can you elaborate on that?

My first time in a music production studio was in an environment of electronic pop/electronic dance music. I didn’t feel the vibes much, but the process was intriguing me a lot. Right after I discovered dark minimal techno and rave culture. Dancing for hours and experiencing time in a space together with hundreds of others was something very special.

Tell us about one of your best, worst, funniest or strangest DJ experiences.

I can tell you the most uncomfortable and awkward one. I was invited to play at one bar in Berlin as I was visiting the city. They asked me to bring CDs, which didn’t seem to be a problem at first. So I came with some friends but then almost none of my CDs worked because the CDJ 100 players in the setup did not read the format they were burned. It was a pity, as in the end I could not play, but also a good lesson to check such details beforehand.

The process of making music is the best inspiration itself.
