A Glimpse of Vienna: Mirella Kassowitz

We know you’ve been waiting for it and here it is: the next episode of A Glimpse of Vienna. This time, we put Mirella Kassowitz in the spotlight.

We know you’ve been waiting for it and here it is: the next episode of A Glimpse of Vienna. This time, we put Mirella Kassowitz in the spotlight. She has been active in the DJ game for almost 10 years already, having organized her first event in 2009. Apart from collecting records and DJing, Mirella is active in the theatre, sound engineering and sound design, describing these as passions. When in the club, she represents the female collective Viennoise which also counts IsiLI and Veronika Amie as its members.

The mix delivered features a range of ambient and downtempo heavy hitters, forming a perfect arc of suspense that ends after about 73 minutes. The selection showcases Mirella’s wide and open musical taste which also reflects that there is always something new to be discovered in her sets, either live in the club or when listening to the record at home. Nothing seems familiar in a good way. It leaves an inquisitive feeling.

If you want to find out more about Mirella and her projects check out Viennoise on Facebook and her SoundCloud page. Additionally there will be the chance to see her in full effect regularly in Vienna and other areas of Austria.
